What information is included about each provider?
Before a childcare provider is listed on our site, they answer 15 different questions, including if they are licensed, what types of pets they have, and if any of the staff are CPR certified. There are over 40 total items that a provider could complete in our system, including photos of their location.

Is it easy?
It takes just a couple minutes to search for daycare that meets your needs. You can search by city or zip-code.

Is it fast?
Search results are immediate. You don't need to wait for a list to be mailed or e-mailed to you.

Can I narrow my search results?
Not quite yet, but we're working on that. Right now, you can click on the 'miles from' column and it will show your results starting with the providers closest to the zip code you used to search. We are wokring on an advanced search, so you can narrow your search results by more criteria.

What if there aren't providers in my area?
Enter your zip code and see how many childcare providers are in your area. If there aren't any providers, you can enter your zip-code and we'll e-mail you when new providers in your area sign up. Check back often! We're growing and new daycare providers are signing up every day.

I searched by city and didn't find any providers?
Try searching by zipcode. When you search by city, you may not find childcare providers who misspelled their city, or spelled it a different way. The difference between Saint Paul, and St. Paul or West Salem, and W. Salem will all affect your search results.

Why do I only see the provider's last initial?
The safety of the provider and the children in their care is important to us. We only show the provider's last name initial to protect their identity. Knowing a provider's last name can lead you to their address, and unfortunately there are some people who do not have good intentions.

What information is given on each provider?
Your decision is based on so much more than just name and phone number. See pictures of the location, information about the provider's experience, and education, even their ideas about discipline and potty training. All this information will help you make a more informed decision and save time by not calling providers who do not meet your criteria. Providers enter their own information, so some listings may include more information than others.

Is the information current?
Our information is direct from the childcare providers, so it is accurate as they entered it. We work to keep the information current, so you don't call providers who no longer have openings. To help encourage continued participation from providers we offer an monthly incentive when they update their information. Don't spend your time using outdated lists when you could spend that time finding the perfect provider for your child.

The provider says they're licensed. Are they?
Always double check any information a daycare provider gives. Call the agency in charge of childcare licensing and make sure the provider is in fact licensed. Also ask if the provider has had any complaints filed against them or has had any problems with the licensing agency.

Why do some pictures have the faces blocked?
Providers may block out the faces of the children in their care for the safety and privacy of those children and their families. We encourage providers to post pictures of their facility, but to not include the childrens' faces.

Are these providers screened by Daycare Match?
No. We do not screen any of the providers listed. We are simply helping put parents and providers in touch with each other. The information provided is entered by the providers and not edited by Daycare Match. Make sure you completely check out a provider before you allow them to care for you children. Visit the provider, meet all caregivers who may be caring for your child, call references from both current and past parents, and trust your gut feeling. If anything makes you uncomfortable, do not leave your child there.

Why aren't there providers in my area?
We're a fairly new site, so daycare providers in your area may not have heard about us yet. Keep checking back. We're adding new providers across the nation every day.
